The client’s goals were to relocate closer to its music and performance venue (Nichols Concert Hall), provide a better environment for its employees and employ its resources more efficiently by right-sizing its office space and occupancy costs in the post-COVID environment.
MIC will be the exclusive occupant of the top floor space at 622 Davis Street in downtown Evanston. Their new 3,200sf location is only one block from Nichols Concert Hall and offers its workforce a better experience with access to nearby restaurants, retailers and open public spaces. Marcia Rubin, MIC’s CFO, reports savings in excess of $500,000 over the course of the new lease. The Music Institute plans to relocate to its new location in the Fall of 2023.
